The Hovenring bicycle roundabout was opened on 29th of June 2012 with a neighborhood party. Suspended from a 70 meter tall pylon it seems to float and it has become a magnificent landmark for Eindhoven, Veldhoven and Meerhoven after which the ring got it's name.
A sparkling cycle path : Van Gogh-Roosegaarde cycle path
Eindhoven has the first innovative cycling path of the Netherlands. A 600 meters long cycling path crosses the place where Vincent van Gogh lived during 1883 to 1885, and has a unique design consisting of thousands of sparkling stones, designed by Daan Roosegaarde. The Van Gogh-Roosegaarde Fietspad was opened on November 12th 2014.
A tour around Eindhoven : Rondje Eindhoven
'Rondje Eindhoven' is a cycling tour around Eindhoven and takes you to the most beautiful places in and around our city. The routes crosses the green, the city centre and the industrial heritage of Eindhoven. You can start 'Rondje Eindhoven' from four different directions and choose out of several lengths, ranging from 20 to 75 kilometers. The tour starts at the Eindhoven brandstore / Tourist Information Office at the Stationsplein. The book with routes and maps and more information about the places you pass, is available here.
