Q. How do you describe your connection with Eindhoven?
A. I'm from Woensel, born and raised. For about 10 years now, I’ve been moving around in the cultural life of the city. I am always surprised about the diversity of initiatives and how much dedication and energy people have to make something cool. You have to make the most of it yourself, fortunately, there is plenty of room to do so in Eindhoven.
Q. You picked some songs. What does this list mean to you? Why these tracks?
A. It has become a mix of my inspiration, the hottest Eindhoven artists right now, and bands I’ve seen in my favorite venues ‘t Stroomhuisje, Effenaar, and the Evoluon.
Q. What's the best party song?
A. Timber by Coldcut. When I was just working at RARARADIO, there was this wintery Friday night where we stayed in the studio for a long time. At one point everyone was spinning and dancing in our little studio and then this record was playing. It’s a nice reminder of a perfect evening. Anyways, it’s almost impossible to not put your hands up in the air.
Q. Which song describes Eindhoven for you?
A. Compton by Kendrick Lamar. Ain't no city quite like mine, right?

Q. Which single song would you take with you to a desert island?
A. The Time of No Time Evermore (the whole album) by The Devil's Blood. The quality of Selim's guitar work is so good, I will never get tired of that!
Q. Which song should never be played again? Why this song?
A. I won't call out anybody, but I won’t mind if some of the regulars at the pub would stop singing.
Q. Who gave the best performance ever?
A. Nick Cave at Down The Rabbit Hole 2018. It was so good, so impressive, so beautiful, and I was crying so hard. And on top of that, the evening finished off with a beautiful sunset after a lovely day.
Q. Who would you like to see live in Eindhoven?
A. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Preferably in the Area51, I couldn’t be there at the time. Retake, please!
