Nova Borgers is an active member of the Eindhoven music scene, and it shows! She teaches at Rock City Insitute and SingShop, but you might as well know her as the singer of Takkedak and Bertus Borgers. Curious about her playlist?

Q. How do you describe your connection with Eindhoven?

A. I've lived there for years but found my dream home in Geldrop a few months ago. With a heavy heart, we decided to move. But I promote Eindhoven like crazy to everyone who doesn’t know about it. So yes, it’s fair to say I love Eindhoven! 

Q. You picked some songs. What does this list mean to you? Why these tracks?

A.  Most of them have a link to Eindhoven. Or they take me back to a certain period.  

Q. What's the best party song?

A. Oh, dear! I don't really have a party song. I'm not really into celebrating Carnaval either.

Q. What song always makes you cry?

A. Uhmmm...

Q. Which single song would you take with you to a desert island?

A. Something from The Tallest Man on Earth. It’s really good. But I might give a different answer next week.

Q. Whom would you like to sing a duet with?

A. Oh, there’s so many. The real question is if they’d like to sing a duet with me. 

Q. Who gave the best performance ever?

A. Well, if I have to choose one, I would choose Moloko on the TU/e Campus. I was totally wild about that band.

Q. Who would you like to see live in Eindhoven?

A. Dixie Chicks performing at the Effenaar! That would be heavenlike.
