No idea what a survival run is? It is a versatile, challenging outdoor sport that combines running with obstacles. Necessary are strength, fitness, technique, and perseverance. Barriers are mainly made of wood, ropes, and things like sandbags and old car tires. Of course, there are also natural obstacles, such as fallen trees and water.
This year you can compete in two categories: the short route of 5km and 25 obstacles or the longer (and more complex) route of 7km and 38(!) obstacles. Although the 7km route requires (a climbing) technique, the 5km route can also be run with a team. With a bit of fitness, you'll come a long way! Cheating is not an option. You must complete all obstacles; of course, the faster, the better!
The All Terrain Survival Challenge is back at the TU/e campus. Take on the challenge on Saturday, 23 September, run with your team, and overcome challenging obstacles. Make sure you register on time!
