Singer Anne-Fay Kops and filmmaker Felix Kops traveled from the Netherlands via Aruba and Curaçao to Suriname and Ghana in search of stories about their origins. In all these countries, they made music with local producers and filmed images on the former plantations in Suriname, on the Atlantic Ocean and in a slave fort in Ghana. They incorporate the people, their stories and the music of this journey into songs full of hip-hop, soul, gospel, electronica and traditional styles from the countries of their ancestors.
