Hot days, lots of fun, and ice creams in abundance. Whether you come for a day trip or a staycation, be amazed by the city's sunny terraces, parks, and events: this is Eindhoven in the summer! 

Ice cream galore

Warm weather requires only one thing: ice creams. With ice-cream parlors in every district, this refreshing delicacy is always within reach. The Italian gelato of La Toscana can be found in four different places in Eindhoven. At Strijp-S you can taste the innovative flavors of Intelligentia Taste Rooms, and in Woensel you should definitely pay a to visit ZININ Ijs & Chocolade. 

Refreshing water activities

Activities in and around the water offer a full day of fun and are great to help you cool down. What about swimming, sunbathing, and perhaps canoeing? Go to Ijzeren Man or beach park Aquabest for a swim, enjoy the sun at Duynenwater, or rent a canoe to get a different point of view of the city.           

Sunny city beaches

A visit to the beach can give you that ultimate summer feeling. Lucky for you Eindhoven has a modest list ofcity beaches that will definitely bring you beachy vibes. Get yourself a spot near the water or visit one of the beach clubs for the optimum number of daylight. 

Parks & shaded areas

Summer in Eindhoven can be hot. That won’t be a problem, as long as you know where to find the shadows. For example, hide in the shade of the trees in one of Eindhoven parks. Or reserve a spot in one of the hidden gardens of the Eindhoven. At the latter locations, a refreshing drink is never far away!

Fruity cocktails

Essential on a sultry summer night: a fruity cocktail (or two). Fortunately, you can find great cocktail bars in Eindhoven on almost every corner. A few of our recommendations: VANE for cocktails with perhaps the best view over the city, 't Oliehuisje part of Het Ketelhuis is great for some late-night drinks, and Bobby's is always a good idea. Only one thing left to say: Cheers!         

Safe shopping

As the shopping city of the South, Eindhoven has stores in abundance. But in addition to the large retail chains, it is the one-man businesses and boutiques that contribute to the city's unique character. For example, stroll the streets of district de Bergen or get inspired by some of our favorite boutiques. Looking for vintage gems? Eindhoven has some of the best vintage stores! 

Cultural events
