Spring in Eindhoven

Temperatures are rising, and nature seems to be ready to bloom. That can only mean one thing: spring is here! We have to celebrate the new season with a few adjustments, but that shouldn’t spoil the fun. Enjoy spring in Eindhoven with our tips!

Culinary Walks

We have to wait a little longer for sunny terraces and full-blown dinners at our favorite restaurants. But, there’s a way to enjoy the culinary side of Eindhoven in combination with the spring weather, namely: culinary walks. Stadswandeling040 hosts a weekly route that takes you to different spots for a drink and a bite.

Shopping by appointment

Good news! The stores are open again, partially at least. That means that specialty stores, boutiques, and other hotspots can accommodate two shoppers per time slot. In need of some additions to your spring wardrobe or feel like shopping? Then book an appointment!

Picnics

Another way to celebrate spring is with a seasonal picnic. And the great thing is: it doesn't have to be complicated at all. Order brunch or lunch from a local restaurant and head straight to an Eindhoven park. Like to pick the food yourself? Liek's Versmarkt is full of delicious products that, as far as we're concerned, can go straight into your picnic basket.

Terrace at home

We could all use a cold beer on a sunny terrace right now, but for now, we will have to continue the party at home. Our tip: order some specialty brews from local breweries Stadsbrouwerij and Brouwerij Van Moll. Cheers!

Spring greenery

To fully enjoy spring anywhere, you need to go outside. From parks to urban greenery, visit our outdoor overview for all kinds of tips and information on green spots in Eindhoven.

Thrift stores & vintage shops

In recent months, many people have cleaned out their homes, which resulted in a flood of gems at both thrift stores and vintage shops. So, now is the time to go hunting for the perfect pieces.

Biking

One of the best ways to explore the city is by bike. Rent one from Velorent (Wielercafé Cyklist on the NRE site), the info point, or grab one at the station. Hop on and cycle through all the exciting districts. Once you get the hang of it, you'll cycle your way through Eindhoven as a local and get a good impression of the city, all at once. Prefer a mapped-out route? We have collected five cycling routes for you!
