A tip from Rik: MU Hybrid Art House

Maybe you know MU Hybrid Art House as MU Artspace, or perhaps you are unfamiliar with this hypermodern 'art house.' Time for Rik to give us an update on this must-visit at Strijp-S.

No museum

At first sight, the name reminds you of a museum, but get to know MU, and you know that that description is not enough. 'MU Artspace' was swapped for the hypermodern 'MU Hybrid Art House.' In this way, MU is less connected to a place and tells you more about its mission: providing a platform for the intersection of all kinds of art genres and ideas. If you're looking for international diversity, you've come to the right place. Here the collection is neither permanent nor static. Visitors and talents are being challenged to rethink art's many shapes and sizes.

MU

More than an exhibitions space

Above all, dare to look beyond what the physical space has to offer. According to Rik, digital projects make it even more exciting. In this way, you get a glimpse into undiscovered worlds and obtain new insights. One of the highlights is the Bio Art & Design Awards, which will be exhibited in MU every year after the Dutch Design Week. Once again, it turns out that some industrial buildings are ideally suited for these changing exhibitions. When Rik visited MU for the first time, they were still located in Witte Dame. Both buildings reflect Eindhoven's Philips past on both the inside and the outside.
