5x Great Reading Tips

Fancy losing yourself in a good book? Local bookshops and the library have found great ways to keep you reading in times of corona. Some books are even for free now. We have listed a few useful tips for you.

The Library (even if you are not a member)

The doors of the library remain closed these weeks, but online the service continues. For example, you can choose from more than 25,000 e-books and some 4,000 audiobooks. With the free app LuisterBieb you can enjoy all your favorite stories. The app is available to everyone, even if you are not a member of the library.

The library (especially for kids)

There are also plenty of ebooks and audiobooks for children in the online library, as well as kids podcasts and videos. Some activities and workshops continue online. Check the site for today’s program.

Van Piere

The bookstore on the Nieuwe Emmasingel is (partly) open again. Every day (except Sundays) you can visit the book counter at the entrance of the shop between noon and 5pm. Do you prefer to order online? Chances are your book will be delivered by one of Van Piere’s booksellers in person.
