5x Popular Student Sports

Want to explore a new sport where you can meet new people at the same time? We’ve selected five popular sports among Eindhoven students, where exercise, teamwork, and fun come together.

The Eindhovensch Kanaal is the place to be for water activities, including rowing. Like to try it yourself? Then student rowing club Thêta might be something for you. Students of the TU/e and Fontys can join the club for recreational rowing, competitions, and all kinds of social and organizational activities.

For both movements and social interactions an ideal sport. Eindhoven has not one, but two volleyball clubs for students: Hajraa and Tamar. With Tamar as one of the oldest student sports clubs in Eindhoven and Hajraa as the organizer of the biggest (outdoor) volleyball tournament in Europe, these are both great choices when it comes to volleyball.

Pole dancing

Maybe you've already heard of the Student Sports Center (SSC). They offer a wide range of sports programs for students, such as swimming, fitness, and even pole dancing. Together with pole sports club Blue, they offer pole fitness courses, that are definitely worth a try!
