7x Parties during DDW
DDW is, of course, the moment of the year to take a deep dive into design. But it’s also a week full of fun parties and raw pop-up events. Do you feel like dancing the night away with other design peeps? Then check out this list.
A new Biki90 project in a not entirely uncomfortable café: CAFE CMYK. Every day from 5pm drinks at the Ketelhuisplein with music and special guests. Every evening is hosted by a different collective.
A good place to start or end your day DDW is the pop-up Kei Black Cafe on the Stationsplein. Expect awesome performances by DJ's, artists and designers. One of the events is Share the Vibe x JØ: inclusive, fun and freedom! This event is also part of the Eindhoven Exchange where foreign design students will be matched with a designer+bed in Eindhoven. Everyone is welcome!
The Ridgecrest Sports Bar is a project of Residency for the People, a new residence in Eindhoven. In the building right next to the Catharinakerk you can enjoy a Modelo beer, sports on TV, analogue communication and a dance pole every day from 4pm.
DDW Music @ Stroomhuis
On Friday 25 October it is time for an old-fashioned queer rave in TAC. With the best house music and drag performances and a raw, loving atmosphere.
Temporary Art Centre (TAC), Vonderweg 1
Start your Dutch Design Week at one of the coolest places in Eindhoven, the cinema and nightclub at the Keizersgracht Lab-1. For more info on tickets and line-up for PIN 01 Dutch Design Week Opening Party check the site.
In this pub on Stratumseind you can enjoy delicious shared dinner every night during DDW. On Thursday evening there will be live music with the Calypso Blues Connection.
The live soundtrack of the Dutch Design Week is the DDW Music Festival. At various places in the city (including the Effenaar, Fifth and Café Altstadt) you will find great music performances throughout the week, from hip hop and electro to afrobeats and punk.
