Female Tech Heroes - The Mentor Edition 2021 | 3 Inside Tips
Fe+Male Tech Heroes was founded in 2019 from High Tech Campus Eindhoven to bring more diversity to the tech world. With Neelie Kroes as its first ambassador, the platform had an awesome kick-off and now over 2000 women and men have joined the network. On March 25, Female Tech Heroes - The Mentor Edition 2021 will take place. We ask founder and organizer Ingelou Stol what she is most looking forward to.
"It is the second time we are organizing this event. We’ll start with a plenary part and then we’ll break up into mentor sessions. I will moderate several sessions myself and I’m really looking forward to the conversations. We have asked 32 female and male mentors to share their experiences. For me, they are the role models of the tech world today.
In each session we cover a different theme. For example, one is about what makes you a good leader, in another we discuss how to deal with a strongly male culture within a company. Four to five talents participate in each conversation. The great thing is that not only does the mentor come up with useful tips, but the mentees also help each other out.
The mentors work at companies like ASML, Philips, Shimano, HighTechXL and SMART Photonics, but also come from impactful startups."
Talk by Natascha van Boetzelaer
"I am also looking forward to the inspiring talk by Natascha van Boetzelaer, Global Digital Partner at Egon Zehnder. She will address how to get the most out of yourself and how good leadership can make the world a better place. The talk is called 'Unlocking people's potential: good leadership for a better world' and is the kick-off of the program. The talk is open to everyone, afterwards there will be a short Q&A with her via YouTube chat."
Female Tech Heroes Conference in May
"Our goal at Fe+Male Tech Heroes is to change the tech world. After all, more diversity in gender, background and work experience leads to better innovations. We do this, for example, by putting inspiring female and male role models in the spotlight. On May 25 and 26 is our annual conference and I would like to bring that to your attention already. This is the place where hundreds of tech heroes from the Netherlands and abroad meet. Speakers include Mindy Howard, she will be the first woman to go into space in 2024, and venture capitalist Eva de Mol. More information will be online soon, so keep an eye on the website!"
