Ginscal | A Tip from Rik
At the end of Stratumseind, between the bars and other hospitality establishments, you will find gin and agave bar Ginscal. A cheerful hangout that’s driven by a passion for cocktails. Come along with Rik!
Eindhoven is a city full of surprises. So it’s no surprise that you can find hidden gems in Stratumseind, the longest bar street in the Netherlands, such as the bar Ginscal. They are specialized in cocktails with gin and the originally Mexican distilled drink mescal. The fact that the bar of the Italian Sara and Alex is located in Eindhoven is a conscious choice. During their visit, they enjoyed the vibe of Eindhoven and saw the potential for their unique cocktail bar concept. Not an unexpected decision as to the two already had plenty of experience with their gin bar on the sunny island of Malta. With the opening of their next bar in the town of Brighton, Eindhoven turned out to be a central hub between the three of them.

Back to the Eindhoven Ginscal. Both the sunny interior and one of the amazing cocktails give you the feeling that Stratumseind could be located near a beach. They serve everything from classic cocktails such as the margarita to experimental tiki cocktails. Rik tips their signature cocktail: the 'Papa Luani' with mescal, pineapple, and coffee as the main ingredients. But the special flavors are not only limited to the drinks, but the snacks are also worth mentioning. Besides the Italian bar bites including bruschetta, Caprese, and Venice style meatballs, they also serve Mexican crickets and seasonal grasshoppers. Surrounded by El Puente and Zarzo's Valenzia, Ginscal's experimental character completes the picture. Would you like to take a look? Go to @Ginscal on Instagram and book a table!
