This is Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven
This former textile factory of Schellens has been transformed into, among other things, a big city brewery 'Stadsbrouwerij Eindhoven'. Yet the beautiful characteristic elements of the factory near Stratumseind have remained. What’s more, the brewery serves some of the finest and rarest beers in the city.
When you enter the large gate, you’ll find the brewery on your left side and the tasting room on your right. The courtyard and the sidewalk in front of the building serve as a cozy terrace. Manager Bram Jansen: "We have room for about 90 people indoors. Especially during summer, everyone knows where to find us. It's pretty busy here seven days a week."
Beers and fresh food
The menu offers 30 beers from their own brewery and you can also go for a bite to eat. "Our cook prepares everything with fresh products. On Mondays and Tuesdays we have the brewers' snack that changes every other week. It is a big meal plus a specialty beer. We have student night on Wednesdays and on Thursdays and Fridays, mostly groups visit us for a drink." Recently, the Stadsbrouwerij opened a space that can be rented for meetings and parties for up to 60 people.
You can book a guided tour if you’re with a group of more than ten people. Join an open tour if you’re with less than ten. "During the tour, you will learn more about the brewing process and taste three specialty beers. In addition, you will visit our neighbors of the Bottle Distillery."
Get to know the beers of the city brewery during a tasting with some snacks. "Our sommeliers explain why each type of beer and dish go together so well and what people should pay attention to when tasting the beer."
Most hospitable location in Brabant
De Stadsbrouwerij organises a lot of fun events. "We organize beer dinners and parties ourselves, but we also work together with other parties such as Zongenoten. Hospitality is our priority. We are extremely proud of our nomination for the most hospitable location in Brabant. What if they win? "Then we have enough beer to celebrate!"
