Tips by Jolien van Staeyen
Blue Collar Hotel
"The hotel had an industrial vibe to it but was super cosy at the same time. The staff was very friendly and I slept like a baby on the soft beds. The hotel is not situated in the city centre, but Eindhoven Strijp is definitely worth a visit and by bike you’re in the centre in less than 10 minutes. Perfect!"
Vershal het Veem
"A must visit when in Eindhoven Strijp is Vershal het Veem, an indoor food market where you can enjoy some yummie food & drinks (duh! ;)). It’ such a cosy place and you have so much choice! Food always makes me happy and I’m sure I’m not the only one."
"If you feel like shopping, you have to visit StudioRUIG. Such a gorgeous store, it was love at first sight! You can find amazing, timeless pieces here that will definitely be a great addition to your wardrobe! Just a warning: you might want to buy the entire store!"
"Another great place to shop is Urban Shopper, a small shopping centre with twenty amazing and unique stores. Just walk in, look around and enjoy the creativity. I love this place!"
"Do you love ice cream just as much as I do? Then you can’t miss Intelligentia ICE! This cute little place has the yummiest ice cream in crazy flavours like Fristi, peanut butter and jelly beans. Also their chocolate is delicious. Definitely a happy place!"
"When it’s time for lunch or dinner, De Vooruitgang is a great choice. I loved this place from the moment I walked in (the interior is amazing!) and once I tasted the food I was even more in love. My croque madame was the best I ever had, for real! I’m coming back for sure!"
"Normally museums make me yawn, but the Van Abbemuseum was actually fun! It’s an interactive museum where you can touch and smell things and it wasn’t boring at all. And trust me, for me that’s an accomplishment!"
Bagels & Juice
"Bagels & Juice is a super cosy place in Strijp-S with the yummiest bagels! I had one with melted cheese and I wish I could have another one right now. Yum!"
