12x Fine Dining in Eindhoven
The annual Michelin ceremony has taken place again. Time for us to take stock! We have compiled a list of restaurants with a Michelin star and restaurants where a star would not be out of place. Useful for your future reservations. We wish you an unforgettable experience in advance!
The restaurant of Yuri and Jessie Wiesen is widely praised for its refined and tasteful dishes. They describe their dishes as 'classic in a modern way with influences from around the world'. The restaurant is not big, but cozy and stylish.
Zarzo has a contemporary kitchen with subtle influences of the classic Spanish cuisine, thanks to the roots of chef Adrian Zarzo. The menus or the a la carte package deal contain both high-quality regional and worldly products.
The Goyvaerts brothers, Jip, Jesse, and Yelle, keep on surprising their guests in their hip restaurant at Stratumseind. They learned the 'ropes of the trade' from Yuri Wiesen and have managed to turn that knowledge and experience to their advantage. The result? A Michelin sign behind the window and great dishes on the plate.
You previously saw young chef Cas Pikaar shine in our Hungry for Design series, but want to spot him at his best? Then book a table at Doyy. The service is hospitable, the flavors diverse, and the chef knows how to excite. Highly recommended!
BENZ at Kazerne
Kazerne is known for its two restaurants, BENZ is one of them. The dishes are described as authentic French, including a head-to-tail principle. All thanks to new chef Thomas Voets. Together with Maître/sommelier van der Voort, they offer a unique gastronomic experience.
The Luytervelde can be found in the north of Eindhoven, in a former farmhouse with a garden. According to the team, they know what the secret is to savoring and they are happy to share that secret with their guests. The kitchen works daily with seasonal products.
Valenzia by Zarzo
This is Adrian Zarzo's second restaurant (third and fourth coming soon). Valenzia is a bit more accessible than big brother Zarzo. Here, you eat Southern European with influences from the Asian cuisine, a delicious combination. Valenzia chef Sunny Devens and Adrian Zarzo were once colleagues at (three!) star restaurant De Librije. You can taste by the great dishes, that this collaboration is still going strong. Also worth a visit: restaurant Sun by Zarzo.
For over 50 years, Mei Wah has been surprising guests from Eindhoven and beyond with Chinese cuisine. When the third generation came to the helm, it was time to go back to the Chinese authenticity, and so it happened. The Michelin guide describes the restaurant as a place of distinction.
Bistro Sophie is no ordinary bistro. Where many restaurants use the term, Sophie stands head and shoulders above the rest. The honorable mention and the Michelin sign alone prove this. The Mediterranean preparations and flavors take you to warm places. And all that for the price of a fine-dining menu.
Due to the coronavirus COVID-19, we will inspire you as much as possible with background stories and tips of things that you can do to experience Eindhoven in a safe way. More information on the measures in Eindhoven and the Netherlands can be found here.
