Food Walk Strijp-S

Are you looking for a nice walking route? We have mapped out a Strijp-S food walk for you with five local hotspots as a guide. Discover the district and get yourself some snacks and drinks to-go. Enjoy!

Duration 90-120 minutes

Koffiehuisje

We recommend starting the food walk at Koffiehuisje. That way, you are not only surrounded by the historic Philips village, but it is also the perfect start, including a cup of coffee and breakfast. Start small with a piece of banana bread, some yogurt with granola, or a croissant with jam, because there is more delicious food ahead!

Directions
Walk along the street called de Jonghlaan and go left on PSV-laan. At the intersection, go straight ahead on Philitelaan. Walk up to the Machinekamer located at the Ketelhuisplein.

Pastryclub

Next stop: Pastryclub! A pastry paradise located in the Machinekamer of Strijp-S. It is the place that used to keep pretty much the entire site running. Now it's a patisserie, chocolaterie, confiserie, salon de thé, and ice cream parlor all in one. So, it is not weird at all if you don't know what to choose right away. We'll take the plunge! Opt for a cup of tea and one of the sweet creations.

Directions
On the street of the Klokgebouw, turn left. Then, turn left again and walk towards het Veem. Head towards the Zwaanstraat and go straight on at the traffic circle. Then follow the road until you have reached Het Laar. Turn right and turn left immediately after.

Philips Fruittuin

The last part was a bit of a walk, but it is all worth it. The Philips Fruittuin is a popular destination for young and old. They organize apple-picking days and game trails, and during summer terrace of de Proeftuin is the perfect spot to soak up some sun. For now, order a hot chocolate with apple pie or a sausage roll to go!

Tip: not feeling like walking for more than two hours? Then skip this spot.

Directions
Walk the same route back and make a detour through the Philips de Jongh park if you like. At the traffic circle, turn right into Halvemaanstraat and walk to the Piet Hein Eek premises.
