Eindhoven Central Station

According to a myth, the Eindhoven Central Station resembles an original Philips radio with the tower on the left as the antenna. Continue the route and cross over towards the 18 Septemberplein.

18 September Square

On 18 September Square, the weekly market used to be held, just like now, which made Eindhoven a city. The next landmark, the Bijenkorf, is on your right.

De Bijenkorf

The Bijenkorf's building is inspired by nature and this can be recognized by the repeating hexagons that resemble a honeycomb. Walk straight ahead across 18 September Square, towards the glass building called the Blob.

De Blob

Blobs can have weird shapes both online and offline. This one also meets that description with its triangles made of glass and steel. For the next spot, you don't have to go far. Take a few steps to the right to spot the white building better known as 'Lichttoren'.

Lichttoren

De Lichttoren, a Philips building, was used as a place to test the first incandescent lamp innovations. Its lights could be seen around the city. Stay on the street side of the Blob and enter 'de Nieuwe Emmasingel'.

Nieuwe Emmasingel

Concept stores and sustainable shops fill up this fairly new shopping district on the Nieuwe Emmasingel. Head off to the Philips Museum at the end of the street.

Philips Museum

Learn more about the history of Philips in this museum, housed in the first incandescent lamp factory. Go through the alley on the left side of the museum and turn right immediately after to reach the Witte Dame (White Lady).

Located in another former Philips building, called the 'White Lady', you will find the internationally renowned Design Academy Eindhoven. Cross the street, walk through the building towards the Victoriapark.

In the future, there will be room for a green park with a water source, in the up-and-coming area called Victoria Park. Take a few steps back and walk across the courtyard towards the Wilhelminaplein.

On this historical square, named after Queen Wilhelmina, you’ll find cozy cafes, a Saturday market, and a luxurious spa. Walk across the square towards the last side street on the left.

These beautiful houses give you a glance at what Eindhoven would have looked like before the War. Turn left on the Sint Catharinastraat and follow the road until you reach the Kleine Berg.

Kleine Berg

Kleine Berg is part of de Bergen, a trendy district that has plenty of boutiques, lunch bars, cafés, and restaurants. Turn left on the Kleine Berg. Follow the route until the y-junction and turn right on the Bergstraat.

This street is packed with hidden gems. Stop by for a coffee at Stadsbranderij Bean Brothers, buy beers, or shop at one of the boutiques. Walk down Bergstraatje until you reach the junction. Cross the street for the next spot.

Housed in old barracks, Kazerne is a true design paradise where design lovers can eat, drink, and sleep between design. Follow the route along the Paradijslaan until you arrive at the Anne Frankplantsoen.

Anne Frank Plantsoen

Enjoy a short stroll alongside the Anne Frankplantsoen and admire some of the finer housing blocks across the street. Go over the Dommel and cross the park on the left towards the Van Abbemuseum.

Van Abbemuseum

The Van Abbe is a museum of modern and contemporary art and an architectural feature of the city. Continue the route to the left across the bridge. Walk the road alongside the Dommel. Cross to Stratumseind and turn right. Eventually, turn left before the big bridge.

Stadsbrouwerij

Go on a tour through the brewery, taste some beers or try a new brew in Eindhoven's own city brewery next to the water. On the right side, the other side of the Dommel, you're able to spot the brewery. For the next landmark, you go left through the street 'Molenveld' until the 'intersection'.

The buildings in the street 't College are covered with plants. A green oasis in the city designed by TU/e's Jo Coenen. Turn left in front of 't College in the direction of Stratumseind.

There's plenty of bars and pubs on this 225-meter long party street called Stratumseind. Turn right on the square, walk Stratumseind towards the center until Catharinaplein.

The Catharina Church is a classic piece of architecture at the end of Stratumseind with impressive stained glass windows. Turn right across the square and another time into the street called Smalle Haven for the last spot.
