Stephen Fearing previously shared the Meneer Frits stage with Ben Bedford, and now he has an evening for himself. He will not be shy about songs: with 10 albums under his own name and another 9 with his band Blackie And The Rodeo, he has a nice repertoire to fall back on.

Fearing is a native Canadian, and after roaming through Ireland and the US, he is home again. You can see that he is loved there from the various Juno Awards that he won, he is pretty much seen as the hero of the Canadian root and folk circuit. For the new album, Fearing entered into a collaboration with Roy Gandi, owner of the well-known record player brand Rega. The record The Secret of Climbing is therefore recorded with vinyl as a starting point, and is only available on a black disc.
