During Carnival

During Carnival the city centre of Eindhoven is dressed up in orange-blue colours. The Stratumseind, Pullman Cocagne at the Vestdijk, the carnival tent at the Markt and the pubs at the Wilhelminaplein are the paces where all carnival activities happen. Every day a different program: wind bands, artists, the 'Malle Maandag Middag', the so-called farmer's wedding and of course lots of activities for young people. All festivities at the carnival tent at the Markt are accessible free of charge.

  • Friday March 1: Drie uurkes vurraf. Carnival spectacle for Omroep Brabant radio and TV. Starting at 15.00h, live from the Pullman Cocagne hotel.
  • Friday March 1: Efkes oe toeter stemme. Until midnight, several wind bands will perform at the Stadspaviljoen at the Stadswandelpark.
  • Saturday March 2: A carnival parade and children's carnival parade will travel through the bustling city centre. The parade starts at 13.11h.
  • Sunday March 3: Carnival Mass and "Schijn 'n ledje op mij!". Traditionally, Carnival Sunday starts with a Mass. The Mass starts at 11.00h at the Paterskerk.
  • Monday March 4: Lampjesbal. A perfect mix between old-fashioned and contemporary carnival at café Thomas. The place to be for young people. Free of charge and it starts at 19.00h.
  • Tuesday March 5: D'n lesten aovond. Go crazy at the carnival tent at the last carnival evening! After several performances, the city prince will traditionally close Carnival 2018 by switching of the light at midnight.
