Orlando di Lasso - one of the greatest Renaissance composers - touches the essence of Peter's sorrow and struggle in his madrigal-cycle Lagrime di San Pietro.
This is a semi-staged perfromance of Di Lasso's masterpiece Lagrime, in a co-production by Tido Visser and Nanine Linning. While Peter is excluded from the rest of his world, singers and dancers witness his suffering. Poetic, confrontational and in line with current affairs. Which ideal survives in the inner battle of the by nature weak and frightened human?
