The philharmonic orchestra South Netherlands was founded in April 2013 due to a merger between the Brabant Orchestra and the Limurg Symphonic Orchestra. Nowadays, the orchestra has 110 formation seats and is therefore one of the the largest orchestra in the Netherlands.
