The collection consists of approximately twenty thousand original cartoon drawings and pencil sketches and several hundred paintings. Museum Ton Smits Huis also sheds light on the life story of this artist, the awards he has received and his successful career as a publicist for cartoons in American newspapers and magazines.

The former studio of the house has been set up as an exhibition space. In April 2009 the Ton Smits Huis was officially registered as a museum. In 2012 it was renovated and more or less brought back to the same condition as when Ton Smits still worked there every day.

Ton Smits Huis

At the end of 1983, the Ton Smits Huis museum opened its doors. This Eindhoven-based museum is entirely dedicated to visual artist Ton Smits (1921-1981). His artistic legacy forms the core of the museum collection.
