The preparations for the yearly event De Nacht van Strijp-S (the night of Strijp-S) are in full swing and it’s going to be epic! During this 24-hour festival, you will pick up the best of Strijp-S, from electrifying techno beats and mouth watering street food to cozy communal breakfasts and vintage treasure hunts. And guess what? Most of the fun is totally free!

What is De Nacht van Strijp-S?

For 24 hours straight, there won’t be a dull moment on Strijp-S; you can discover the district for free all weekend long. De Nacht van Strijp-S is about more than music. This is not just a night out — it is a celebration of the district's entrepreneurs and culture creators. Mark 19 and 20 September in your calendar. New this year: a campsite right on the grounds – more on that soon!

24 Hours dancing

Calling all night owls! The musical lineup is packed with excitement. PUIN, Symbiose, Rotate, and Intimate Affairs are taking over Ketelhuis, where you can dance the night away. A short walk away at Plug-in City, you can let loose to electronic vibes. From one awesome spot to the next, swing by: De Huiskamer. Expect a laidback vibe with R&B, soul, and a touch of hip-hop. for a laid-back vibe filled with R&B, soul, and a touch of hip-hop. Can’t get enough of electronic beats? Then head to Stoeprandje Buts Buts for the ultimate outdoor club night!

24 Hours of enjoyment

Sitting still? Not an option—especially for the kids! On Saturday, Ketelhuisplein will host a spectacular BMX demo, where professional riders show off their skills to the crowd. Inside Area51, the skatepark opens to the public: urban sports, art, and music all come together here.

During the day, young ones can look forward to fun activities at Ketelhuisplein. One you definitely don't want to miss is the XXL game: during this game, you complete various challenges that call for speed and a good sense of rhythm. Prefer to wander around? At Plug-in City, you can discover vintage finds, art, fashion, and creative expressions from local makers during the day. Once night falls, Plug-in City transforms into a buzzing open-air club with international DJs, house, techno, and electro, plus spectacular visuals and light shows.

On the hunt for unique finds? De Nacht van Strijp-S is your chance to discover the best vintage treasures. For example, Urban Shopper will be keeping its doors open extra late. On Sunday, don’t miss our favorite market: the FeelGood Market, featuring fifteen diverse stalls overflowing with fun and quirky items. Got things to sell? Set up your own stall and join the fun!

During de Nacht van Strijp-S, there’s an art route set up all around the area, both indoors and outdoors. The best part? Everyone can explore the route at their own speed, visiting ten different locations.

To get the most out of De Nacht van Strijp-S, you'll need to line your stomach first! Whether you go for a juicy burger at STR'EAT or a delicious late-night pizza from the pizza truck, you'll have plenty to choose from either way. At Rabauw, the specialty beers are already chilling, and this year Community Square is hosting the pre-party: with hits from vinyl duo Kappi & Bober and a plate of freshly made pasta, you'll set the perfect foundation for the night.

It's clear as day: Strijp-S is bursting with energy. But beyond the regulars, the district celebrates with what are, in our eyes, unmissable specials. On Saturday, PUIN - one of Eindhoven's most beloved collectives - closes out the outdoor program in The Basement with hard-hitting techno. After a night full of beats like that, a fresh start on Sunday is more than welcome. The next morning, you can jump straight into the yoga sessions at Plug-in-City. Not only do you treat yourself, but you also support a good cause: Stichting Leergeld.

No more hassle with catching the last train or paying for an expensive taxi home. This year, we're celebrating five years of De Nacht van Strijp-S and that means: camping right on-site. Pitch your tent at Ketelhuisplein on Strijp-S, or at Gloeilampplantsoen on nearby Strijp-T, and spend 24 hours discovering everything there is to do. The next morning, breakfast at Anne & Max or Blok 63-S is waiting for you.
