What once started in 1964 with Eindhoven’s music group Tuna Ciudad de Luz is still going strong 60 years later! Time for a quick tuna crash course: the term ‘tuna’ dates back to medieval Spain, long before universities existed. Back then, students roamed from one master to another, partying, playing music, earning a few coins, and charming the ladies (yes, that was actually a thing!). Stroll through Eindhoven’s city center, and you’ll be treated to live performances, parades, and serenades. Curious? Check out the full program here!
The Spanish Tuna Festival is back in Eindhoven from 20 to 22 September! Get ready for an amazing celebration filled with Spanish music, dance, and much more. Vamos!
