Everything you need to know about STRP
It's almost time for STRP Festival. We're here to explain what STRP is all about and why you should not miss it. We'll also cover all things practical, from tickets to transportation and from accommodation to the best spots for a culinary break in the city.
What is STRP Festival?
Maybe a bit cliché: you have to experience it to understand it. In a nutshell, STRP is a festival with exhibitions, performances, workshops, and music at the intersection of design, art, and technology. With Soft, Slow and Powerful as this year’s theme, STRP looks ahead to a future in which technology supports us and brings people together instead of pushing them apart.
Where and when?
This year's STRP Festival runs from Thursday, 26 of March to Saturday, 28 of March in Microstad. On Friday and Saturday, the exhibitions are open from 12:00 to 00:00. On Friday, you can attend the opening of Proto, STRP’s new permanent multifunctional space for experimentation. Here, you’ll get a first glimpse at the exhibition and Proto’s ongoing program, created by artists like Bart Hess and Alice Baker. Speaking of the program: you can check out what’s on the schedule here.
What's on the program?
As mentioned, STRP Festival consists of exhibitions, performances, music, and workshops. What you definitely shouldn’t miss is the opening and launch of Proto. Other must-sees on the program include the exhibition featuring works by Theresa Reiwer, Daniel Dalfovo, and the three STRP Young ACT winners, as well as the performance Ways of [ ] by Zeno van den Broek, including the afterparty. You can find many more tips on the STRP website, such as a full workshop program.

How much is a ticket?
For STRP, there are different tickets: single tickets or a pass for the entire program, excluding workshops. Would you like to attend a workshop? Then you’ll need an extra ticket. Sounds complicated, but it’s not! On the website and the STRP ticket shop, you’ll find all the ticket information, including prices.
How to get there?
By train
Eindhoven has two train stations, Eindhoven Central Station and Strijp-S Station. Intercity trains, as well as Sprinters stop here. Sprinters are trains that make stops at all stations between larger cities (short sprints, get it?). You can schedule your journey via the journey planner on ns.nl or Google Maps.
By car
All roads lead to … Eindhoven. From Amsterdam/Utrecht, take the A2, from Rotterdam/Tilburg, take the A58, from Antwerp, the A67, and from Arnhem/Nijmegen, the A50. For a parking spot in the city, you can find all parking options here.
Public transportation
Good news: the event location is within walking distance of Eindhoven Central Station. Don’t feel like walking, or coming from another part of the city? Rent an NS bike! Pick one up at the bike parking at Central Station or Strijp-S Station. Check the bike availability in the NS app beforehand. You will also find plenty of electric bikes and scooters around the city. Fast and sustainable! You can also take the bus: plan your trip via 9292 or Google Maps.
