9x Christmas break activities for kids
Ice skating, visiting theaters, magical light art, game halls, and drinking lots of hot chocolate: the Christmas holidays are almost here! It's time to go out and have a good time. Here's some inspiration for the whole family!
Show off your ice skating skills
Looking for a great winter activity? Then ice skating it is! In case of no Elfstedentocht (again) this year, there's always IJsportcentrum Eindhoven. For a bit more boogie, there’s disco skating every Friday night!
Grab a hot cacao and chill
Need something to warm you up between activities? Let's grab a hot chocolate. It's not only delicious, but it's also a moment of zen for the parents. Drop by at Meneer de Boer or Sissy-Boy, or check out our complete list of hot chocolate spots.
Visit the Christmas Winter Circus
The Christmas Winter Circus has been a top activity for kids (and the rest of the family, of course) for quite some time. With funny clowns, breathtaking acts, hair-raising stunts, and more. This year, they're celebrating a brand-new edition at Parktheater. Get your tickets while they're hot!
Exciting scavenger hunt at Philips Museum
At the Philips Museum, children can go on a scavenger hunt every single day. Using UV lights and a treasure map, they can search for clues to find the hidden treasures during Mission Eureka. Once found, a pleasant surprise is waiting for them. Bonus tip: the Museum Kids Factory.
Motion Winter of Lights
Step into a fantasy world full of imagination, emotion, and fun. Each season, Motion Imagination Experience transforms into a luminous paradise, from eating next to the Mona Lisa to swinging on a glacier. Every Wednesday afternoon or on weekends, there are extra activities for the kids.
Bring on the winter
Dreaming of a white Christmas? At the Genneper Parks Pavilion it will be one big Winter Wonderland. For the kids, the park has bouncy castles, marshmallows, a playground and you can practice your schwung during a game of mini golf. Hole-in-one!
Go on an adventure at De Ontdekfabriek
Another fun activity: going on creative adventures! Discover, play and experience. At De Ontdekfabriek at Strijp-S, children can go wild. Good to know: they'll open their doors more often during school breaks!
Jump around!
This activity will get the kids going, for sure: trampoline jumping. From skits and somersaults to jumping as high as possible and a 'Wipe Out', it's all possible at Jumpsquare or Bounce Valley.
Gaming, gaming, and more gaming!
Attention teenagers! Gamestate is a gaming Valhalla. They've got a wide selection of arcades: from Mario Kart to pinball. So, upgrade your playing card and game on!
