Do you remember those sultry summer evenings when everything turned orange for the World Cup? Or when the whole city went wild to celebrate PSV's national championship? Well, PSV might win the national football championship this Sunday. Want to watch it among other fans? These are our top tips!
Watch the game on the big screen
Nothing is as connecting as sports. That's why watching together is the only option, if you'd ask us. On Sunday, May 18, you can see 'our' team play on big screens all over the city. The official places to watch are at the Stadhuisplein and the Markt. Other fun places to be are De Burger, Grand Café de Lichttoren, and Ketelhuis. Or, of course, one of the other spots on our list. Want to know how busy it is? Then check out livecrowd.com/psv.
Mainstreet
Besides broadcasting all sports, Mainstreet is perhaps most proud of its American menu: everything from hotdogs to Texas smoked brisket has its place on the menu. Now you might wonder: do sports and comfort food go together? Absolutely, it's called balance! Okay, back to sports. Whether you're cheering on Max Verstappen or watching the Dutch national team in action, you'll be guaranteed to experience all the iconic sports moments together here.
Irish Pub O'Sheas
Are you a fan of football, Guinness, and a good dose of Irish craic? Before you get any ideas: 'craic' means having a good time together. Well, you will be at O'Sheas. O, and don’t forget to order yourself a delicious plate of Irish pub food.
't Rozenknopje
't Rozenknopje, or simply 'the Knop,' has been a household name in Eindhoven for as long as anyone can remember. It probably has to do with the welcoming nature of this bar. You'll often find a mix of regulars and newcomers. Want to watch football outside your home but with that cozy living room feel? This is your go-to spot from now on!
Café LouLou
During the day, you can enjoy a delicious lunch, and when the sun’s set, you can dance the night away. But, there’s one more thing: during a European Championship or other important match of your favorite football club (which is, of course, PSV), big screens appear to show your support for them. What can we say? Café LouLou is a jack of all trades.
Dugout
Contrary to what the name suggests, there's little sitting still and a lot of action at the Dugout. With years of experience as the very first(!) sports bar in Eindhoven, they know better than anyone how to watch sports. To start: pick a match, order a beer and a snack (for example, the old school nachos), and gather your friends for an evening full of sports on Stratumseind. Also fun: during the break, you can entertain yourself with a game of darts or table football.
