1) Description of the contest
The Eindhoven Captured Instagram photo challenge is made possible by city marketing organization Eindhoven365. The monthly winner of the contest will receive an item of THE VIBE and a €100,- dinner coupon. The winners are selected by the city marketing organization, in accordance with the procedures set forth below. The winners will receive notification via Instagram messaging.
By participating in the contest, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
2) Who may enter
The contest is open to everyone, whether you are a professional photographer or a hobbyist that takes photos with his/her phone.
3) How to enter
To participate in the contest, you must own an Instagram account. You can upload your submission during the submission period to your Instagram account by using the hashtag #EindhovenCaptured. Include what theme your image represents in the caption (for example ‘Urban Eindhoven’ #EindhovenCaptured). Your Instagram account must be set to permit public viewing of your photos in order for us to receive your submission. By using the hashtag, you are acknowledging and agreeing that we have the right to stream your post through the Instagram API or otherwise use the image for the promotion of the Eindhoven Captured contest. The submission must meet the following “Submission Requirements”:
(i) the submission must be your own original and previously unpublished work. Your work must not be featured in/on any material owned or controlled by third parties;
(ii) the submission must not include images that are obscene, pornographic, libelous or otherwise objectionable.
(iii) the submitting entrant should be able to provide on request all appropriate clearances, permissions and releases for the submission, including releases from all persons appearing in the photograph and location releases for all recognizable locations.
A new theme will be announced monthly. You have the chance to upload your entry during the entire month, from the first till the last day of the month. All submissions must be received by the end of the submission period. City marketing organization Eindhoven365 will select and announce the winner of that month. We will keep you informed on the specific entry periods of the specific month on thisiseindhoven.com.
4) Winner selection / judging
At the end of each submission period, we will monitor and review the initial submissions for eligibility. We will then select the winner. We will judge your photo for execution of the theme, creativity and originality, recognizability of Eindhoven in the picture and photographic quality.
5) Prize
Each monthly winner will receive an item of THE VIBE and a dinner coupon of €100,-.
6) Rules governing potential winners
We will contact the winner via Instagram messaging. We will ask the winner to email us the original photograph (in high resolution). If a selected winner doesn’t respond within 48 hours, we have the right to disqualify the selected winner, who will, therefore, forfeit his/her right to claim the prize. By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that Eindhoven365 may, without any limitation or further compensation, use his or her name, screen name, voice and/or likeness, and the submitted photo in any and all media for the purpose of advertising and promoting the website ThisisEindhoven.com, the contest EindhovenCaptured or any other promotion for the city of Eindhoven done by city marketing organization Eindhoven365.
