Dommel District fun facts

Countless famous artists have performed at Effenaar. In addition to international names like Red Hot Chili Peppers, En Vogue, and Queens of the Stone Age, Dutch artists such as Meau, SEF, and Douwe Bob have also taken the stage here.

Along the street, you can still spot historic façades, like Van den Briel & Verster from 1795. What used to be an old linen factory is now home to the Inkijkmuseum, one of the smallest museums in the Netherlands, and open 24 hours a day.

Dommelstraat is named after the river Dommel, which flows from North Brabant to North Limburg. Tip: explore the Brabant countryside by water—rent a SUP or canoe!
