5x Must-do’s at the Maker Days Eindhoven

Roll up your sleeves! On Saturday, 26, and Sunday, 27 September, Eindhoven will once again be the site of the Maker Days Eindhoven. Leaning back is not an option: participate and make your own creations. Fun for young and old! We'll give you a sneak preview with five highlights you don't want to miss!

Maker Future Parade

Everything that makes Maker Days Eindhoven special comes together in the Maker Parade. From extraordinary creations showcasing the limits of technology and futuristic fantasy vehicles to extravagant cosplayers pulling out all the stops, you won’t miss a moment of this spectacle. This parade will wind its way through downtown Eindhoven both Saturday and Sunday starting at 13:00.

Build your own virtual kart track

From throwing bananas to firing shells at the opponent behind you: everyone has played Mario Kart at some point. But what if you could design your very own virtual kart track? During the Maker Days, you become your own track architect and can (with or without a Mario cap) race against others.

From trash to treasure

We’re not highlighting just one tip, but two. Picture a moving constellation – yes, like a star sign – made from upcycled fashion, edible art, and dazzling performances. You'll get a taste of imagination and reuse in its wildest form. What exactly awaits? Even we don’t fully know. Prefer something less fleeting? Artist Jelle de Graaf transforms discarded materials into robotic statues that will stop you in your tracks.

Big Brother is watching you

A tech festival without artificial intelligence is like Paris without the Eiffel Tower—it doesn't make sense! At Totem Game Dev’s workshops, young creators dive into the world of facial recognition. By training an AI system themselves, they get a firsthand look at the promises – and the pitfalls – of this powerful technology.

Maker Night

You know what? Let’s add an extra evening! On Friday, September 26th, everything tech-related, from music to gaming, comes to life during the Maker Night. You know Night at the Museum? Well, it's something like that but with a tech twist at LAB-1 in Eindhoven.
