NRE-terrein

The NRE-terrein (NRE-site) has a long history as a former gasworks site. The area has changed shape several times since its establishment in 1899. It owes its name to the Nutsbedrijven Regio Eindhoven (Public Utilities of Eindhoven) that were located there from 1989 to 2010. After that, the municipality bought the site and transformed it into a creative city neighborhood where working, living, and culture come together.
