This November, Eindhoven is all about secondhand and second chances with De Normaalste Zaak van Eindhoven. Take advantage of great discounts, join giveaways, pimp your clothes in workshops, or visit the traveling thrift pop-up!
Pop-up: De Normaalste Zaak van Eindhoven
Did you spot a traveling thrift store? Chances are, it’s De Normaalste Zaak van Eindhoven on tour. Throughout November, you can get your broken items repaired on the spot, find unique treasures among secondhand goods, and participate in creative workshops. Whether you’re visiting your favorite weekly market or strolling across the TU/e campus, peek inside the bus. Consider this your warning: it will be hard to resist buying some goodies.
At The Wool Repair Shop by New Order of Fashion, young designers give your clothes a second life. Using wool patches, embroidery, and colourful yarn from local sheep, they turn repair into design. Drop by for creative upcycling or small repairs – whatever the material, they’ll fix it with wool! Entry is free, repairs start from €10.
Do you have a piece of clothing that feels a bit boring or that you hardly ever wear anymore? In this workshop, part of De Normaalste Zaak van Eindhoven on Tour, you’ll learn how to easily turn it into something cool and unique. Think of a (denim) jacket or tote bag with extra color or detail — using felt, beads, paint, or patchwork, for example. Bring your own clothing item(s) — all decorating materials will be provided! Good to know: The workshop is free, but you do need to reserve a spot in advance. You can find out how to do that in the event calendar.

An underwire poking through the fabric or a strap that won’t tighten properly … that’s how many bras end up in the bin too soon. What a waste, since most of these problems are easily fixable! On 28 November, you can visit Livera in the city center of Eindhoven for free repairs on bras, underwear, and nightwear. The repairs are done by the talented makers from New Order of Fashion.
The tenth Repair Café in Eindhoven celebrates its grand opening on November 30! What’s better than a party where you can also get your broken vacuum cleaner fixed? Like all Repair Cafés, they’re experts at fixing anything with a plug or battery, as well as clothing, textiles, and bikes. Stop by to take a look, enjoy a slice of cake, or give your broken items a new lease on life!
Nothing more fun than scouring the shopping streets in search of a stunner of an outfit. Even more fun if you manage to score that one unique item. Where's the best place to do so? At local boutiques, of course. We listed 'em for you.
