9x Places for startups

Rumor has it that Eindhoven is the place to be for hardware design and high tech innovation. We couldn’t agree more :-) Eindhoven does indeed have a fine combination of smart people, top-level research facilities, and an entrepreneurial spirit. This makes it easy to grow quickly as a startup. Young talents from around the globe come to Eindhoven to develop ideas and set up a business. These are the places where they meet.

HightechXL

Anyone who has ever seen a high tech startup getting off the ground knows this: things can be pretty chaotic in the beginning. Obtaining funding, filing patents (or not?), and the eternal search for a good software engineer. Where to start? Well, at HightechXL, for example. The incubator program is among the world's best in terms of impact. In three months' time, they will help you to get your product and business ready for the market. The program is located on High Tech Campus Eindhoven.

Lumo Labs

At High Tech Campus, the technological heart of the city, you'll find Lumo Labs. A two-year program for startups. The incubator was founded by four entrepreneurs who will support you with their experience and resources to break through as a startup. Famous participants are Pillow's Willow, BikeClip, and VRee.

Studententeams

The student teams at the Technical University are undoubtedly the breeding ground for everything that is smart, creative, and enterprising. Think of the Solar Team that won the World Solar Challenge in Australia with their family car on solar energy, Team Solid that turned iron powder into fuel, or Tech United, a multiple world champion in healthcare robots. Special projects that lead to successful startups.Lumo Labs

Innovation Space

New on the TU/e Campus is Innovation Space, located in Matrix Building. The idea is to realize an innovative collaboration between the different expertise of the TU/e. From biomedical engineering to electrical engineering. Not only student teams are based here, but also professors, companies, and other students who work together on prototypes and the development of high tech products.

Gerard & Anton Awards

The startup world is developing rapidly, but once a year we take stock in Eindhoven. During the Startups-to-Watch, the ten most promising startups of the year are announced - together with drinks and bbq, making it one of the most fun events in the summertime.

Drinks, Pitches and Demos

Drinks, Pitches, and Demos is a popular event. For people from the heart of Eindhoven's tech scene, but also the shell around it. From students without a LinkedIn profile to pensioners with a huge network. Every first Wednesday of the month pitches with a drink at one of the Eindhoven hotspots.
