If you’re visiting Dutch Design Week, you simply have to experience Strijp-S—without it, your DDW visit wouldn’t be complete! It’s the city’s creative heart, where all disciplines come together. With more than 120 design projects, you can spend an afternoon here. Strijp-S also has everything you need to sample local beers or join one of the DDW parties.

How to get there?

Visiting DDW by public transport or bike is not only sustainable, it’s also the fastest way to get from A to B. From the station, it’s a 9-minute ride in a straight line to Strijp-S—easy peasy! If you prefer an alternative, you can take the train from Eindhoven Central Station to Strijp-S Station, which is just one stop away. You can also take bus 401, 402, or 403 to the “Strijp-S” stop.

The 'forbidden city' that Strijp-S once was has become one of Eindhoven’s most vibrant and trendy neighborhoods. With more than twenty locations, including a pop-up bar with a DJ booth, it’s a must-visit for every visitor.

• Klokgebouw: This is the ideal starting point for every DDW visitor. With so much to see, your day is over in the blink of an eye. Here, you will find designs in the form of concrete solutions for the present and sustainable innovations for the future. Don't forget the Class of 26, where various design academies present their most impressive graduation projects.
• Ketelhuisplein: With an area of approximately 7,000 m2, this is one of the largest open-air museums during DDW. It features creations by designers from all corners of the globe. There are quite a few Grand Projects to blow you away this year.
• MU Hybrid Art House: As always, MU offers a refreshing and challenging perspective on art, design, and technology. During Dutch Design Week, you can see the new exhibition Everything Moist Seems Alive.
• Plug in City: At DEMO, they believe in the power of ideas, and you can help. DEMO is taking three projects that are still in development out onto the street to meet people. Your ideas help the projects keep growing.
• Foundation We Are: Eight years ago, it started as a small design collective. Today, it's a cultural organization that works on social issues and innovation projects. During Dutch Design Week, you can explore nine different projects here. And while you're there, make sure to stop by New Order of Fashion too!

• Design & AI: Many (Re)Turns: Some of the fun stuff hides in unexpected places. Where 300 people once worked for Bosch, you'll now find an exhibition on design, AI and data during Dutch Design Week. With RE:GISTER, for example, Eindhoven designer Gion Berlijn asks: would you share all your private data to restore someone else's privacy?
• Manifestations: Always a hit at Dutch Design Week: work by young creators about the (mis)matches between people and technology. Sometimes strange, sometimes straight to the point. It can take a bit of searching. But take the elevator to the eighth floor of Veem, and you'll walk into a 3,000-square-meter exhibition space. You'll wish you had more eyes and more time.
• BLUMENWIESE: More calm and sweet are the 276 hand-painted flowers by Giulio Gallana and Jeanne Fischbacher. But as so often with design, there's a critical message behind this playful idea.
• Electric Grand: Combine the creative minds of a visual artist and a pianist, and you get something big. Walk through a giant bamboo structure where every piano key connects to its own speaker. Sometimes someone even sits down at the piano for a live concert.
