12x Lunch hotspots

It's almost lunchtime! How about a fresh salad or a must-try Dutch delicacy? Whether you opt for a quick bite or prefer an extensive break: these are twelve hotspots for a well-deserved lunch.

VIC Kitchen & Bar

Salads, tasty sandwiches, fish & chips, handmade fries, and many more delicious bites. VIC Kitchen & Bar is all about comfort food. Bonus: VIC has a beautiful outdoor terrace. Keep your fingers crossed for lots of sunshine.

The Corner

Yamani Bounnou has been running The Corner on the Grote Berg since 2016. Although the pancakes are highly recommended, the bowls, sourdough sandwiches, and Maroccan specialties are also worth ordering.

Brasserie van den Berg

Oui, oui, the food has to hit the spot but looks will make your experience complete. Brasserie van den Berg will serve you both, thanks to the trendy charming and delicious French menu. So, what are you waiting for? Reserve a spot!

Van Alles en Co

Van Alles en Co

Don't know what to have for lunch? Then Van Alles en Co is always a good idea. This colorful hotspot in Woensel-West knows how to conquer everyone's heart. Spoiler alert: your vintage hunger will be satisfied too.

Coffeelab Strijp-S

And once again this hotspot makes it to one of our lists! At Coffeelab, formerly known as 'Onder de Leidingsstraat', they serve all kinds of healthy dishes. Like a coffee with your lunch? Consider this a sign!

Piet Hein Eek - Lobby Restaurant

In a former Philips factory building, you will find the Lobby Restaurant next to Piet Hein Eek's workshop and showroom. From noon onwards, you can get in line for a handful of dishes: ciabattas filled with bread (by Bakkerij Renders), lentil soup, pumpkin salad, and for the fans, a juicy burger. Settle down on the roof terrace and don't forget to visit the store and exhibition space! PS craving a greasy bite instead? On Friday and Saturday, you can score the famous fries of Piet. Enjoy!

De Vooruitgang

A great area to look for lunch spots is Market Square (de Markt). Here you can find all sorts of restaurants to satisfy your hunger. We'd like to mention De Vooruitgang, not only foodwise but also when it comes availability; there's plenty of tables!

Krok Madam

Of course, you can make a sandwich at home, but food tastes better when prepared by someone else. As long as it is done with love ;) At Krok Madam, there's a whole lot of love involved. This madam makes all kinds of tasty sandwiches: from traditional (hello croque madame and croque monsieur) to new and surprising. Order a fresh juice, and your lunch is complete!

ZwartWit Koffie

ZwartWit Koffie, located at Victoriapark, offers more than just coffee. Everything on the menu can be ordered all day, every day. Whether you're a big eater or more of a nibbler, there's something for everyone!

Van Alles en Co

TWO B

Lovers of delicious sandwiches have had their eye on this sandwich store for a long time. If you do not know TWO B yet, this it's time. From a hot chicken sandwich to the 'Avo Garden,' there's something for everyone. Also, salads, soups, and wraps. Note: a little disclaimer, there might be a waiting line. The sandwiches are THAT good.

Kazerne

Of course, you can have lunch at Kazerne all year round; it is also a great tip during Dutch Design Week, but it is perfect during summer. In the sunny courtyard garden, you can imagine yourself being in Italy for a moment and an authentic pasta carbonara helps with that. Tastes like more? Chef Giovanni Gabana is happy to welcome you.

Blok 63-S

Vegan yogurt bowls, Caesar salads, and Indonesian sausage rolls. Blok 63-S appears to have it all. What makes this hotspot even more fun is the view over the bustling Strijp-S.
