GLOW is something to look forward to during the dark months every year. Even though the light festival makes you feel warm inside, we bet you could use a hot chocolate or glühwein (mulled wine) after walking the route. Warm yourself up at these official GLOW hotspots!

Gastrobar Luzt

Whether it start of your evening or the end, a visit to Gastrobar Luzt makes a night of GLOW experience even more fun. Settle down on their heated outdoor space and indulge in their house-brewed beers, which pair perfectly with the bites at Luzt.

Café ‘t Vonderke

Café ‘t Vonderke sits right across from Lodewijk Napoleonplein, where you can see the light artwork Bubbelbad. You can warm up inside with a drink here, but you can also join the fun on the square. The best part? You’ll find several light installations nearby, like Behind the Walls or Rooted - Democracy of Trees.

Camp GLOW and ASML

For a cozy break by the crackling fire, head to Camp GLOW at Stadhuisplein or Camp ASML at Wilhelminaplein. At these official pit stops, offers outdoor warmth by the fireplace. The perfect spot to sip on hot chocolate topped with a generous swirl of whipped cream. Good to know: there are toilet facilities available (including accessible options), because no one wants to embark on an adventure with a full bladder!

O’Sheas Irish Pub

O’Sheas Irish Pub is always a lively spot, but during GLOW, it gets even more vibrant. Like Camp GLOW, O’Sheas Irish Pub is a official GLOW location along the route–making it the perfect stop before, during, or after your walk. If you’re lucky, a live band might be playing. Grab a drink (or two), enjoy some bites, or have dinner in the beergarden. It’s the perfect way to prepare for braving the cold again.

VIC Kitchen & Bar

At Catharinaplein, you’ll find VIC Kitchen and Bar: a cozy place with a great view of the Catharinakerk. Inside is great anyway, but with a bit of luck they fire up the heaters on the terrace, which makes for the ultimate GLOW experience. Order yourself a nice glass of wine and a hot bitterbal (a Dutch fried snack), and the evening will be complete.

Extra tip: Walking Dinners

If you’re a devoted GLOW fan, you’re probably familiar with the annual culinary walk of Walking Dinner. This walk doesn’t just take you along the entire route, it also has four extra stops (one for each course) at: Thomas, Bistronomique Onyx, Vlees & Co, and Aprazivel. Or go with Food La Route, which leads you past Philips Stadion (drone light show tickets included), restaurant 1910, and Vestdijk 47.
