How to get there?

Starting from the central train station, Beursgebouw is a five-minute walk. Walk out of the station towards the city center, cross the road towards Bijenkorf and turn right into the Piazza shopping center. Walk all the way through the shopping center and exit on the other end. In the narrow street behind it, Beursgebouw is on your right. Are you coming from Strijp-S? Hop on any bus in the direction of the station, and get off at the Piazza stop. Walk onto the square and take a left into the shopping center.

Why do you want to go here?

In Beursgebouw, more than 180 graduates are exhibiting their graduation projects. You can look around and talk to the designers. The show is traditionally one of the big crowd-pleasers of DDW, and for a good reason.

Our recommendations:

The Graduation Show is the main event in Beursgebouw all week, so everything is a must-see. On Saturday, October 16, you can go to The Arena for talks and debates about (the future of) design.

Cabinet of Collaborations at Fuutlaan 14 (next to the railroad tracks) is a few minutes’ walk from Beursgebouw. Still, it’s worth the trouble: here, you will find the result of all kinds of collaborations between designers. They showcase their solutions to the challenge of designing responsibly in a time of mass production. You get to Cabinet of Collaborations by walking past the station on the city center side, and following the tracks. Fuutlaan Hall is on your left, just past The Student Hotel. By the way, at The Student Hotel, they have some exhibitions about food. And you can score a tasty and affordable meal or snack there as well. Perfect stopover!

Other fun things to do in the area

Beursgebouw is a stone's throw away from the shopping center of Eindhoven. In the Piazza shopping mall, you can shop or stop for a bite at the restaurant or café of Bijenkorf. They also have a lovely exhibition there. If you cross the square, the rest of the best shopping city in the south of the Netherlands lies at your feet.
