5x Summer on your mind with these summer festivals

With the summer vacations just around the corner, we are craving sunshine and the best festivals. After two years of the pandemic (sorry, we had to bring it up), we have almost forgotten how to dance, let alone how to keep an overview of the overwhelming abundance of social events. To help you in these challenging times, we've compiled a list of festivals where you can get your moves back. Or simply treat your eardrums to some acoustic splendor.

Feel the grass between your toes at Effenaar 't Wasven

True to tradition, this summer, you can settle down at the cozy outdoor seating area of Groendomein 't Wasven. On three Sundays in June, July, and September, you can enjoy fine music, a nice snack, and a cooling drink. And, of course, the unique Effenaar 't Wasven summer feeling. The entrance is free!

Enjoy the ride at Park Hilaria

When you think of a fair, you probably think of racing in bumper cars, eating giant cotton candy, and a cacophony of sounds. All of that is possible again this summer because the fair is back! Park Hilaria is the ten-day fair in the center of Eindhoven from 5 August to 14 August. It offers over a hundred spectacular and nostalgic fairground attractions. You'll also find plenty of spots to have a drink,  and you can enjoy live performances on various themed squares. This varied mix guarantees top summer entertainment for all ages.

Rock ‘n roll at Grote Beek Pop

Do you fancy a music festival without alcohol in one of the most picturesque estates of Eindhoven? Then you must go to Grote Beek Pop! This year marks the 10th edition of this music festival, organized by clients, volunteers, and employees of the GGzE (mental health care). This way, the GGzE offers individuals with mental health issues the opportunity to utilize their talents and actively participate in society. An advantage for visitors is free entry all day long.

Natlab Outdoor Film Festival on the big screen

Some movies are better to watch outdoors accompanied by a delicious bowl of popcorn. Gather your family and friends and get all your seating gear. Each Thursday night from 15 July to 3 September, you can sit down for free(!) in the courtyard of the Natlab for your favorite movies! Because this year is the outdoor film festival’s 25th anniversary, they will make it extra special.

The tastiest festival in town; Foodstock

Take a culinary journey around the world, right here in Eindhoven, and stuff your face during Foodstock. A feast for the taste buds at the Karpendonkse Plas. The name may give it away: Foodstock is inspired by Woodstock's legendary festival. You can expect music, good food and a lot of fun during the weekend of 30 July. Come and get a taste of the ambiance (and all that delicious food, of course)!
